Golden Creek Olives
Extra virgin olive oils, varietal and estate grown, are produced with passion on our Fish Creek farm, situated between the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges and Wilsons Promontory in South Gippsland. Satisfied that the soil, rainfall and cool weather conditions are most suitable for olive trees, we progressively planted and maintain our small number of hand-managed olive trees, chemical-free and un-irrigated, since 2000.
- Crafting our 5 high quality boutique extra virgin olive oils for your enjoyment by hand-harvesting our fruit at their optimal point of maturity to produce a stunning range of varietal oils with differing complexities of fruit, bitterness and pepper flavours and fresh herbaceous aromas. These are:
- Arbequina/Picual blend
- Consistently winning awards with our oils at the National Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition, every year since 2009. 2014 featured us winning a Gold, Silver and Bronze award for 3 oils submitted.
- Provide a high standard 250kg per hour olive processing service using modern state-of-the art 2 phase 'cold' processor for other growers in Southern Gippsland and our surrounding regions.
- We make 3 styles of Dukkah, using as many products as possible sourced locally. The Lemon, Spanish and Egyptian styles are very popular at the monthly Prom Country Farmers' Market in Foster, direct from our farm and from the Internet.
